Lindsay Hopkins, Trafalgar Square Overseas
With a 25 year background in financial services, Lindsay is a Director of several companies involved in the UK and overseas property markets, providing mortgages for overseas and UK properties and property funds. He founded Trafalgar Square Overseas Ltd in 2006, an overseas mortgage advice company and Member of the AIPP. Lindsay brings his wide knowledge of the financial services world to his position on the AIPP Board.
Nick Clark, Homebuyer Events
Nick is Founder and Managing Director of Homebuyer Events Ltd, which has been organising large scale property focused events since 1989. The company’s portfolio includes The Homebuyer Show and The Property Investor Shows in London, and plans are in place to launch internationally. Nick’s background is mainly in sales and marketing management and has been concentrated on publishing and exhibitions. He sees the AIPP as the first proper attempt at creating an Association with teeth, and is keen to be part of the AIPP’s long term success.

Alistair Powell, Seven Continent Investment
Alistair is Founder and Managing Director of Seven Continent Investment, established in June 2006. He has a background in estate agency, and at the age of 21 became the youngest Sales Manager in the UK at Hamptons International. He was later to work as Sales and Marketing Director for a venture capital fund in the City where he quickly exceeded his target, filling the fund in just six months. He brings to the Board his passion for the property industry, along with his combined experience of the real estate and financial sectors.

Sue is a marketing and communications expert with more than seven years' international property experience. She has worked with major developers and agents to market properties and grow their businesses. Sue played a leading role in bringing the industry together in 2005, established and young companies, peers and competitors alike, to sit down and discuss how they could all work together to improve this market. The formation of AIPP is proof of her success.

A UK estate agent since 1979, Ian started up an employment agency exclusively for the residential property market in 1993, Property Recruitment Ltd. He now owns and runs Estate Agency Personnel Ltd (EAP) and has been doing so for almost 12 years. In early 2006 he formed a trading division dedicated to the overseas market, Overseas Property Jobs (OPJ). As an AIPP Board Member, Ian is keen to promote and represent the interests of the employees of the overseas property profession.

Ray Withers, Property Frontiers
Ray has a background working in the City of London and in management consultancy. He is the co-author of Where To Buy Property Abroad - An Investors Guide, which was published in April 2006. As well as being a founding partner, Ray is responsible for sales at Property Frontiers where he specialises in sourcing investment projects, structuring their overseas developments and dealing with funds and fund managers who are involved in the world's emerging property markets.

Having worked in marketing and advertising since 1990, Peter joined Ocean Estates International in Marbella in 2001, then Blendon Communications as Marketing Director, before setting up Richmond Green Marketing (RGM) in January 2006. RGM is a full-service marketing consultancy dedicated to the overseas property industry. Peter is well aware that the industry must move forward into a new professional era and is looking forward to helping shape its future with the AIPP.

Jeannie has been involved in international property for over 20 years, combining property work with lecturing and research. She has also bought and developed her own properties and knows where she wants the industry to improve. Experienced in the property markets of France, Greece, the UK and Spain, as well as delivering training to business people and civil servants, Jeannie brings wide knowledge to the table. Jeannie has also been instrumental in setting up the first AIPP training courses.

After running a successful delivery and warehouse company in Ireland, Gary saw opportunities when he moved to Florida in the mid 1990s. He set up a vacation rental management company whilst buying and selling property for his own portfolio. In 2001, having sold his rental management company, Gary established Coldwell Banker Team Realty to help people purchase property in Florida. The company completed sales of $520million from 2003 to December 2005. He has offices in Dublin and London.

John has been dealing with international property work since 1985. He presents seminars across the world on buying overseas and is one of the market's best-informed minds. He is co-author of The Sunday Times guides to buying property in Spain (2002), Italy (2002), France (2003), Portugal (2003), the USA (2003), Turkey (2004) and the Emerging Markets of Eastern Europe (2005). He has written extensively for the press, both consumer and industry, and often appears on TV and radio.

Cindy has been a fully licensed Financial Adviser since 1989. In addition to providing investment and other financial advice in the UK, she has assisted clients with their UK and overseas property purchases for many years. In 2004 she started her own company, providing advice on the international property market. As this is not regulated by the Financial Services Authority, Cindy joined the AIPP, commited to the strict Code of Conduct as a reassurance to her clients that the industry can operate professionally.

Mark Rickard has been with HiFX for six years now, primarily working with property agents and developers, establishing the best ways for their clients to transfer their funds abroad. In building strategic partnerships across various industry sectors, Mark has built an excellent understanding of the process by which British and Irish consumers purchase property overseas and an in-depth knowledge of how the industry can work together to achieve the best results.

Robin Barrasford, Managing Director of Barrasford and Bird, realised the potential of the Bulgarian property market some three years ago and created Barrasford and Bird to bring this emerging market to the UK and educate potential UK purchasers about the opportunities in emerging overseas markets. Steadfastly believing in customer care and integrity within the overseas property industry, he is a firm supporter and founding member of the AIPP.
