AIPP Awards 2010 – Shortlist announced

AIPP announces the shortlist for the AIPP Awards 2010, ahead of the presentation ceremony at A Place in the Sun Live on 26th March.

Judging of the AIPP Awards 2010 took place on Thursday with a panel of 10 judges drawn from both the overseas and UK property industries. Chaired by The Property Ombudsman Christopher Hamer, the judging panel has selected winners in each of the 11 categories and the 32 shortlisted entries are announced today. The winners’ names will be revealed at the presentation ceremony in two weeks’ time.
Launched in 2008, the AIPP Awards is an independent non-profit making awards programme with a focus purely on customer service. The Awards reward overseas property agents and developers who demonstrate excellence and professionalism in this area.
“A fair and transparent judging process is a key element to the AIPP Awards,” says AIPP’s Operations Manager, Lisa Charlesworth. “Our panel of judges provides a combination of property expertise, high professional standards and independence, and we’re fortunate to have had our judging process overseen by The Property Ombudsman, Chris Hamer.”
Chairing the judging panel for a second year, Hamer says: “Initiatives promoting higher standards of customer service and business operation should be encouraged, and these Awards provide a valuable contribution. They inspire companies to aim for excellence, encouraging them to evaluate their business processes, and importantly, how they as a company service their customers.”
Among the judges was AIPP Board Member Sue Ash, who will be announcing the winners on 26th March. She comments: “The judges were impressed by the high quality of many of the entries and it was encouraging to see that members are taking to heart the ethos of the AIPP and delivering high levels of customer care and service.”
The presentation of the AIPP Awards 2010 will take place within A Place in the Sun Live exhibition at Earls Court. “We’ve had a fantastic response to the Awards this year, and are very pleased to be able to give winners the added benefit of being announced in front of a consumer audience,” concludes Charlesworth. “It’s a great opportunity for the industry to send out an upbeat message, and provide winners with a well-deserved marketing boost.”
