AIPP corporate membership is open to all professionals in the international property market: Estate Agents, Property Developers, Lawyers, Media, Financial Services & other specialist service providers
We offer two types of corporate membership:
Business – companies directly selling property (Estate Agents & Property Developers only, we accept Sole traders, ‘Autonomo’ and their equivalents)
Associate – companies associated with the buying process (everyone else)
Prospective members should check their eligibility to join by identifying the criteria through which they are eligible. A solid trade reference is also required. Additional supporting information may be requested.
1. Membership eligibility

1. Business Members - with 3 years’ trading history
You qualify for membership providing:
- You are an Estate Agent or Property Developer, sole traders* included.
- You have been trading for 3 years or more.
- You hold all necessary qualifications and licenses in the country in which you operate and, if required, in the countries where the real estate is located.
- You are of good standing, pass our due diligence checks & provide a trade reference.
- You operate your business in accordance with AIPP Rules and Code of Conduct.

2. Business Members - without 3 years' trading history
You qualify for membership if you can show ‘extensive experience’, this means:
- You are an Agent or Property Developer, sole traders* included.
- You should have at least 5 years’ experience of the international property market. If sufficiently senior (Director or Senior Management) we may accept less than 3 years’ experience. Acceptance is at the discretion of AIPP, dependent upon particular circumstances.
- You hold all necessary qualifications and licenses in the country in which you operate and, if required, in the countries where the real estate is located.
- You are of good standing, pass our due diligence checks & provide a trade reference
- You operate your business in accordance with AIPP Rules and Code of Conduct.

3. Business Members - no direct industry experience but with ‘other relevant experience’
AIPP recognises many property markets are unregulated, attracting professionals from other sectors looking for a change in direction, sometimes mid-career or later in life.
Without 3 years’ trading or 5 years’ experience of the international property market, you must show ‘other relevant experience’ to qualify for membership and show that your company plans, procedures and documents reflect the aims of the AIPP.
You qualify for membership providing:
- You are, or intend to, operate as either an Estate Agent or Property Developer, sole traders* included.
- You have at least 5 years’ experience in a senior industry position with similar skills required (eg. sales, marketing, business management, finance, law, land purchase etc).
- You supply documentation for review by AIPP, as follows:
- A statement from the person operating the business explaining how the company’s plans and procedures reflect the aims of the AIPP.
- Copies of the sales literature sent to clients (standard letters, brochures, property details).
- Full professional background of person operating the business; CV or short career biography.
- Phone number of referee (as trade reference) and permission for AIPP to call them.
- Details on developments and / or developers with whom you work. This should include a summary of the due diligence undertaken on developments and developers.
- Where permissible, list of 3 previous clients to contact regarding your service.
- You hold all necessary qualifications and licenses in the country to which you belong and, if required, in the countries where the real estate is located.
- You are of good standing, pass our due diligence checks & provide a trade reference.
- You operate your business in accordance with AIPP Rules and Code of Conduct.
- Acceptance is at the discretion of AIPP, dependent upon particular circumstances.

4. Associate Members - with 3 years’ trading history
Associate Membership is for Lawyers, Media, Financial Services & other specialist service providers. Estate Agents & Property Developers should refer to the Business Membership category.
You qualify for membership providing:
- You have been trading for 3 years or more.
- You hold all necessary qualifications and licenses in the country to which you belong and, if required, in the countries where the real estate is located.
- You are of good standing, pass our due diligence checks & provide a trade reference.
- You operate your businesses in accordance with AIPP Rules and Code of Conduct.

5. Associate Members - without 3 years' trading history
Associate Membership is for Lawyers, Media, Financial Services & other specialist service providers. Estate Agents & Property Developers should refer to the Business Membership category.
AIPP recognises that some companies, with a broad range of existing professional services, will set up a new company or division to trade specifically in the international property market. Various aspects of property markets are also unregulated, attracting professionals from other sectors. Both scenarios are often dependent upon global / local economic cycles.
You qualify for membership providing:
- You hold all necessary qualifications and licenses in the country to which you belong and, if required, in the countries where the real estate is located.
- You are of good standing, pass our due diligence checks & provide a trade reference.
- You operate your business in accordance with AIPP Rules and Code of Conduct.
- You supply documentation for review by AIPP, as follows:
- A statement from the person operating the business explaining how the company’s plans and procedures reflect the aims of the AIPP.

2. Membership application process
- Start your application online via this link to our Membership Application Form
- We will review your application and conduct our due diligence checks.
- We will ask-for, receive and review your trade reference (usually one of your bank, accountant or lawyer).
- We may need to ask you some further questions.
- We will confirm your application has been accepted or explain why it has not.
- We will send you an invoice for your membership & joining fee.
- You pay this invoice, we then send you:
- Digital welcome pack with all information, logo’s & tools you need to activate your membership.
- Point of sale items in the post to your office.
- From the guidance we offer in your digital welcome pack, you activate your own plan to leverage your AIPP membership.
- You can contact our Operations and Membership Manager for advice and support anytime.
3. Membership Fees
These are charged annually and calculated based on the number of directors, staff (full & part-time) and self-employed/sub-contracted people working in your company. With members coming from over 30 countries around the world, we have found this to be the fairest way in which to gauge the size of a company.
Business Member (Agents and Developers only) per company (we also accept sole traders/ ‘Autonomo’ and equivalents
1 – 2 people: £345 in total
3 – 6 people: £600 in total
7 – 10 people: £950 in total
11+ people: £1,700 in total
Please note a £50 + VAT admin. joining fee (£35 + VAT for up to 2 staff) is payable for all new membership applications
Associate Member (all other industry-associated companies), per company

Under-declaration will be considered a breach of the Code of Conduct, and may lead to your membership being revoked.
All members must comply with the AIPP Code of Conduct. You can read the code before making your application to join AIPP and satisfy yourself you already meet our standards or put a plan into action to do so. Ensure all your staff read the code and we highly recommend you print and display the code prominently in your office to reassure and guide your clients and team.
